Installation tips

The installation of natural stone tiles in a Roman Pavement design needs always to be done according to a certain puzzle. With every delivery of material in Roman Pavement we also include within the pallet the plan for the installer, adapted to the type of stone and kind of puzzle (small or big, straight or distressed edges). We strongly recommend to lay out a couple of modules before the actual instalment of the floor. This will help you to determine which tiles need to be cut up to which size to join up against the walls. Further more this will prevent mistakes in the smaller sizes (19,7 x 19,7 cm and 20 x 20 cm). A last piece of advice is to saw the tile to the size needed at that particular point e.g. cut a 40 x 40 cm tile down to a 20 x 40 cm. You can?t simply take a 20 x 40 cm sized tile from another module because each module is composed of a certain number of each dimension! Please note: our different kinds on Roman Pavement are now also available in BELTRALINE version.

An overview:
Boisvillon: calibrated to 1,5 cm
Massangis Roche Jaune Claire: calibrated to 1,2 cm
Mirabelle: calibrated to 1,5 cm
Thala Beige: calibrated to 1,5 cm
Tuscany: calibrated to 1 cm
Pierre de Bourgogne: calibrated to 1,8 cm

Taking BELTRALINE tiles means that if renovating, you can fix Roman Pavement on to an existing tiled floor or onto an existing dry concrete floor / screed.
