CE-Standards |
Until now the only standard applied in Belgium for external flooring in natural stone was the NBN B17-001 (frost resistance test). In 2003 the European Union decided to set CE-standards for these materials. These standards are meant to inform the customer as good as possible and to define a number of minimum requirements to ensure the safety of the user. The standards to be applied for external flooring in natural stone are:
The materials are to be tested on:
The label can easily be recognised by the CE-logo and will be present on all the crates/pallets. The forms with all the test results is available on demand or on our website: www.beltrami.co.uk. Also in this matter BELTRAMI will continue to fulfil its rome of pioneer to inform the customer correctly. As soon as the definitive standards (now we only have pre-normes) are final, we will make sure all our materials will comply to these requirements.
