Chart House was a project undertaken by private clients to develop a high specification new-build country house on an existing site for sale on the open market. The selection of materials was made in conjunction with a designer, Emma Bell Interiors and Naos Floors, who proposed a selection of appropriate stone. The stone chosen was Thala Beige honed 40 x 40cm throughout most of the ground floor, including a Supreme Black polished border inset around the perimeter of the main hall. It was also installed in the kitchen and adjoining orangery, giving a warm yet contemporary feel to the classic architecture of the house. Bianco Carrara CD honed was used in various formats for walls, floors and vanity tops in the master and en-suite bathrooms, creating a timeless atmosphere. Thala Beige honed was also used in one of the downstairs cloakrooms with cut-to-size pieces used for the border shelf and arch detail around the recessed mirror. All tiles were supplied and installed by Naos Floors Ltd of Tonbridge, Kent. |
