Maintenance
1. Natural Stone
- Maintenance starts with a first cleaning: this cleaning has to be carried out only once with a suitable cleaner (e.g. Lithofin MN Power Clean). Important: always use an acid-free product!
- When the cladding is completely dry sensitive areas (kitchen, bathroom, etc.) can be protected with a suitable sealer (e.g. Lithofin MN Stain Stop). BELTRAMI highly recommends this protection with materials such as limestone. Always consult the technical datasheet !
- A periodical care treatment can be carried out (1x or 2x per month) with a suitable product (e.g. Lithofin MN Easy Care Cleaner).
- For exceptionally dirty surfaces and stubborn marks, a suitable acid-free product can be used (e.g. Lithofin MN Power Clean).
2. Trafficstone
- Maintenance starts with a first cleaning: this cleaning has to be carried out only once with a suitable cleaner (e.g. Lithofin Wexa). Important: always use an acid-free product! Allow the cladding to dry thoroughly during the next month. During this period it is important to use only a little water with additionally a suitable product that does not seal the pores of the stone (e.g. Lithofin MN Easy Care Cleaner).
- When the cladding is completely dry we recommend to treat the stone with a suitable sealer (e.g. Lithofin MN Composite Protector). With the honed finish you only need to apply this product once, on a sablino or tornado surface you need to repeat the treatment 2 to 3 times. Only a polished surface does not need any sealant.
- If the material gets really dirty, a suitable (non – acid) cleaner (e.g. Lithofin Wexa) can be applied to clean the surface. None of the following products can be used for maintenance or cleaning: abrasives, thinners, bleaches or ammonia. Also do not clean with a rasping sponge or steel wool which could damage the polished layer or could cause dull spots.
